It’s no secret that our group of friends is super close and extends beyond the contributors that publish on the blog. The husbands have always been forced into friendships with each other because we get together so often, vacation together, conversate regularly… Sorta like an arranged “broship” I guess you could say. They’re our biggest fans, the cheerleaders for the cheerleaders.

Parenting takes a partnership (partner stunt, eh?). It takes two people who equally serve each other. This time, it’s a chance for the husbands to share their gratitude for the women who raise their children, make their house a home, and cook their dinner (sometimes…). It’s all about you, Moms.
So, without further adieu, the Dads of Poms2Moms speak in their first “collaborative” post.
Trisha is THE BEST! She is very smart, kind, loving, hard working, a great multitasker and faithful servant of God (just to name a few)… All while being a super Mom and awesome wife. We are so thankful God chose her for us! Happy Mother’s Day!
This is going to be Cayla’s first Mother’s Day! It’s crazy to hear about a mother’s unconditional love for their child, but she exemplifies that more than I could ever imagine. Cay is seriously the glue to our family. I joke around and call her our quarterback- but for real, she is! Mia is one lucky little girl to have a mom as special as Cayla, even though she’s already a Daddy’s girl.
Thanks lady, for them kids.
Oh, and…
Happy Mother’s Day to my amazing wife. The amount of strength and compassion you share with the girls and I is overwhelming. You are an amazing woman, wife, and mother. I am so thankful for all you do and I don’t say that enough. Everyday, I am lucky enough to fall in love with you all over again.
First let me start by saying my wife, Karey, is not a momma just yet. She is however a loving, caring, and successful woman who someday will make an amazing mother to our children. I give her grief from time to time about her career devotion and the late hours see spends becoming a talented attorney. Selfishly, I want her home so that we can spend quality time together. I value our pre-dinner cocktail hour when we catch up on our day and the weekends we spend traveling instead of working. However, her dedication to perfection will influence our future children’s work ethic and ability to persevere in trying times. She will certainly be a tough momma and expectations will be high for our young ones. She will demand a lot from them and at times they’ll wish she would be more of their friend but the end of the day she will be their number one supporter. Motherhood will become a second career for Karey, one that will force her to burn the midnight oil and make sacrifices just like the demands of the law. But if there was ever a strong woman to win on both fronts of that battle field, it’s my wife. Love you!
It’s hard to put into words what you mean to us as a mom and wife. To describe the way we feel would be an understatement of what you really are and what you do! As I sit here to think about everything, and what I am going to write, I am astonished at how much you do for us as a family and how much we are truly blessed to have you. Day in and day out, you continually amaze me. Between working a full-time job, co-writing a blog, being involved in both the community and school, I don’t know how you do it. You show us that you care by doing all the little things like cleaning up after us, making sure we eat healthy, and keeping Aubrey busy with gymnastics, soccer, and school projects. You make time to take Aubrey and Caroline to their doctor’s appointments or anywhere else they need to go. You show such calmness and patience when Caroline gets upset or Aubrey pitches a tantrum, which keeps me from getting frustrated as well. You support each of us in whatever we are doing, from something as simple as Caroline rolling over to Aubrey putting shoes on the correct feet. You listen when I go off on a tangent about work and pretend like you know what I am talking about (the utility life is a different world). Without you, we would just be sitting around watching cartoons and movies all day because it’s easy. You bring us out of our comfort zone and challenge us to become better. As a mom to our two little girls, you show love, strength, kindness, devotion and thoughtfulness in ways that compare to no one. I asked Aubrey to tell me one word that describes mommy and she said “HUGGIE”. To me, that means she feels safe and protected in your arms. And I’m confident (by the way she smiles) that Caroline loves it too! I am so proud to call you my wife and the girls love that you are their MOM! Happy Mothers Day!
I’m not crying, you’re crying! Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing ladies out there!

I just want to say that this was the absolute, most thoughtful gift I (personally) could have received on Mother’s Day. Thank you guys – you have no idea how much you mean to us!
