Confession… my Christmas tree has been up for 2 weeks now. (Muahaha.) It’s safe to say, the spirit of the holiday season is alive and well in our house. And if we weren’t already pushing for it ourselves, we’ve already received requests for gift ideas from friends and family for our little ones.
My Paw-Paw died in October of 1996, leaving Grandma to do life on her own after that. We knew that year’s Thanksgiving wouldn’t be the same without Paw-Paw there, and Grandma Hill would be especially sad. As a result, we decided to gather at their house with my parents, sisters, aunts, uncles and cousins. But out of this sadness, bore our family’s Thanksgiving tradition that we continue to do today; The Blessing Box.
As moms, we have a tendency to want time to stand still. We want to hang on to those sweet moments at every stage of life for our littles. Everyone tells you time will fly by and it totally does!
The weather is cooler, leaves are changing, and Halloween is over, which means it’s officially The Holiday Season! [Cue Christmas music.] When I think of the holidays, I think of family and friend get-togethers, eating good food, and GIVING. After all, isn’t that what the season is intended to be about?
It all starts with the Halloween candy. Pumpkin bread, pumpkin beer, and pumpkin spice lattes… you’re halfway through November with an eye towards Thanksgiving and find yourself with [amazon_textlink asin=’B075VB52KH’ text=’holiday party invitations‘ template=’ProductLink’ store=’poms2moms-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’4ca559a5-e6af-11e8-87e6-35767d595d1d’] in hand. The time is near… CHRISTMAS PARTIES ARE COMING! (Yay!)
