I can’t help but tear up as I write this, because to me, there is no greater role than the one I have as being a mother. It’s without a doubt, the ultimate badge of pride and the highest-ranked position I can ever assume. That’s why it may not be “so” surprising that one of my biggest ambitions is to be a cheerleader for my daughter.
Just imagine you are telling someone about a *HUGE* new life decision. Excitement radiates from your face, you deliver the news full of joy, and then you wait for the obvious encouraging response. But instead of excitement, something else happens. You notice your audience slightly cringe, become wide-eyed and then… realize their error before quickly trying to cover it up. This is what it’s like telling “most” people, you are deciding to homeschool.
It’s the New Year and with good intentions we all set our minds on different aspects of our lives to improve upon. The most common resolutions include health and fitness, organization, saving money, traveling, etc. These are all great resolutions and I’ve pulled my own resolutions from each of these categories as well. Some weeks I go so hard & accomplish so much, I end the week feeling like [amazon_textlink asin=’B072J84141′ text=’Wonder Woman‘ template=’ProductLink’ store=’poms2moms-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’8d63b6a2-d75e-11e8-83bb-c7ac6489462c’]. And then there are times, when the next week rolls around, I become overwhelmed from the mental to do list – rotating like a credit reel. That’s when the panic sets in and I have the tendency to hide from my tasks & people. Rather than ending that week like Diana Prince I feel more like Ursula.
There is nothing better than waking up with a smile on your face and feeling ready to take on the day! But you all know that if one thing causes you to have a bad morning, you are more than likely going to have a bad rest of the day. And typically if you have a bad day, that rubs off on your family… and they will also not have a great day.
A few weeks ago things were not going as planned at all. We were missing Wednesday night church services for our last swim lesson and basically [amazon_textlink asin=’1719369291′ text=’fit hit the shan‘ template=’ProductLink’ store=’poms2moms-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’5ff6bb5e-89f8-11e8-a157-77860ad26577′].
