Cosmetic treatments and plastic surgery used to be a “taboo” topic. No one talked about it or would disclose “what they’ve had done” in fear of being perceived as fake or trying to hide something. It was previously believed that only rich people or really crazy people would want to change the way they look.
Ready for a break, mama? We all know it’s hard to get away from your daily routine and leave your kids and husband for a weekend. But guess what? You don’t know how bad you need it until you DO IT! Last October, we took a weekend, just us girls, to get away from the everyday grind. Williamsburg, VA was a perfect destination for a girls weekend and you have to know why!
Confession… my Christmas tree has been up for 2 weeks now. (Muahaha.) It’s safe to say, the spirit of the holiday season is alive and well in our house. And if we weren’t already pushing for it ourselves, we’ve already received requests for gift ideas from friends and family for our little ones.
All couples have “their place” right? Carowinds is one of ours. Just minutes south of Charlotte, straddling the North Carolina/South Carolina state lines, Zach and I have turned to Carowinds for MANY a day date. We have the absolute best time together! We share so many laughs and so much excitement from being flung in the air at maximum speeds. We love our alone time to ride all the big rides but have also learned to love Carowinds with toddlers. They love it too! (Thrill seekers in the making. 😉 )
Lover of rubber band wrists? Squishy cheeks? Chubby toes? Thigh rolls on rolls on rolls? Then… you might have a chunky baby.
Valentine’s Day is just a few days away! Valentine’s Day is typically a holiday surrounded by the idea of romance, togetherness, [amazon_textlink asin=’B018COT3VW’ text=’gifts‘ template=’ProductLink’ store=’poms2moms-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’81aa28c0-fd2e-4c6c-b4e1-0c591620ad2e’], and celebration. I’m all about taking time to invest in your marriage and couples’ care, but also believe it’s important to focus on self-care and self-growth, within and for a relationship. If we, ourselves, are happy and fulfilled, we can ultimately show up completely whole for others.
When Aubrey was 3 months old, we first went up to Boone, NC to start our Christmas tradition of cutting down our own tree. We wandered around searching for the perfect tree, having a way more in depth conversation about height, shape, and overall appearance than I knew was possible.
