If you know me, you know I’m pretty funny about what my kid wears. I don’t know why, but I always want her to look nice and put together. Meanwhile, I look like hot trash, no makeup, and have “athleisure” in every style and color. Anyway, Cam was BALD when she was a baby. Literally she had NO hair for a long time and everyone thought she was a little boy (eye roll). Insert DIY turban headwrap for the WIN!
Anyone else majorly obsessed with the family “Scrabble-style” wood tiles that are popping up all over Pinterest?
One of the most exciting things about welcoming a new baby, (outside of adding a precious member to your family!) is designing the nursery. When you see the finished product, the room that your sweet newborn will call his/her own, it makes their arrival so much more real!
PSA: Father’s Day is right around the corner! And for now, YOU’RE responsible for making the purchasing decisions until the babies get a little older. If you’re anything like us, your man can be SO HARD to buy for. What on Earth could make him feel loved, appreciated, and important on a day dedicated JUST TO HIM? Our guys do so much for us and it’s hard to reel in the perfect Father’s Day gift ideas.
Risden’s 4th birthday was awesome! My little boy is quite obsessed with all service vehicles, but none compare to his love for fire trucks. So of course, we had to throw a firetruck birthday party.
It’s important to me to include my kids in the everyday things I do. Whether it’s baking a cake, cooking dinner, decorating or even checking my emails, I want to teach them how to do “real life” tasks. It gives us more time together plus it makes doing those monotonous tasks much more fun. It could even spark a passion inside them…you never know, I may be raising the next Bobby Flay or Joanna Gaines.
I kept seeing all of these really cute mobiles on Pinterest and Etsy and decided I had to have one in my little one’s nursery… until I saw the price tag. There’s no way I was going to pay $30 + shipping fees for a cute accessory my baby will likely not care too much about. I knew I could probably make one just as cute and exactly the way I wanted it (to match her room perfectly). I am proud to announce it cost less than $15 to make my own DIY crib mobile and looks just as good – if not better – than a store bought one.
