I’m back at it again with another post regarding one of my favorite topics… FOOD. A huge part of my daily joy comes from what I eat. (Yes, I’m the woman who dreams about dinner right after I eat lunch.) I love food and aim to eat GOOD. I’m just trying to live my best life, and want to ensure that my little one does the same! That’s why today I’m talking all about toddler meal prep.
[ReviewDisclaimer]
As a working mom, efficiency is always the goal. I want to max out my time, by making quick and easy, but also healthy and tasty meals for my kid. It’s important to get as much as I can done in advance, to eliminate stress and frustration, especially before going into work each morning.
I have always loved meal-prepping for myself, but now I find just as much joy in doing it for my baby girl.
I enjoy doing this for a few reasons: 1.) Cooking is therapeutic for me, 2.) I know she will be getting good, well-balanced meals, and 3.) The better I can prepare in advance, the less chaotic the weeks seem to be.
Pretty much, I like having my sh*t together.
I love introducing my child to new foods, while also watching her eyes light up when giving her some of her favorites (i.e. – PIZZA). She loses her ever-loving MIND when it comes in Italian food, but who doesn’t?? (Proof below.)
Relax, Karen. She gets plenty of nutritious foods, too 😉
Hard boiled eggs, turkey bacon, & avocado
Scrambled eggs, toast, & kiwi
Zucchini bread, bananas, & blueberries
Waffle, greek yogurt, & mixed berries
Breakfast casserole, bananas, & kiwi
Chocolate pancake, scrambled eggs, & strawberries
Peanut butter & jelly, raisins, goldfish, & fruit
Chicken quesadilla, Spanish rice, & avocado
Salmon, toast, spinach salad, & mixed fruit
Fresh deli meat, cheese, strawberries, & raisins
Rotisserie chicken, cheese cubes, & raspberries
Grilled chicken, green beans, & sweet potatoes
Turkey burger, asparagus, & cucumber/tomato salad
Rotisserie chicken, baked broccoli, grapes, & apples
Whole wheat pasta, meatballs, & peaches
And then sometimes there’s this, because it’s all the energy and time I have for: #momoftheyear
You know we can’t forget about the good stuff! Occasionally, I like to add meatballs, pasta with butter and parmesan cheese, lasagna, baked ziti, spaghetti, & PIZZA to the menu. I aim to prepare healthy snacks and foods the majority of the time, but HEY, everyone deserves to splurge and live life fully!
I also try to buy snacks that are relatively healthy, organic, and/or whole wheat, like the ones pictured below.

These are great ideas for toddler meal prep. Toddler meals tend to sneak up on me because our toddler eats small amounts constantly, vs. the older kids who eat more regular meals. Thanks!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Lately, my toddler has been eating smaller meals too…I think it’s because she’s more interested in playing 🙂

Yes, I love the idea of throwing some veggies in there! It’s so easy making things that can last for 2-3 days!
