11 Adorable Allergen-Friendly Valentines Kids Will Love

Allergy-mom… this is my Valentine to you! -> What You Actually Can Bring in the Classroom & V-Day like a Boss.

[ReviewDisclaimer]

The classroom can be a scary place for kiddos with food allergies. Not only is it scary but it can also be super lonely. Food allergy kids can’t have what everyone else does, so many times at school parties, [amazon_textlink asin=’B075994HQX’ text=’birthdays‘ template=’ProductLink’ store=’poms2moms-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’80dbda4a-c1cc-4052-a923-352dcf7180fc’], or ballgames the FA kids are quickly reminded, they aren’t like everyone else.

Now, I absolutely do not expect people to go out and buy certain snacks just so my kid doesn’t feel left out. I always make sure that I have something that he can eat. However, we’ve got some pretty wonderful people in our lives that are constantly asking and looking out for him and if I haven’t told those folks enough…let me shout it to the depths of cyberspace:

THANK YOU! You really have no idea how that touches my heart and I am so appreciative of your thoughtfulness, care and love for my Risden!

Now that food allergies are so wide spread, classroom policies are changing to make it a safer environment for kids like Risden. Again, I am so appreciative of that. However, I know this is not easy on mommas who don’t have to read every single label of everything they purchase! Having to read labels is the norm for me but I remember what it was like during the learning process. I totally get it…it’s hard! As if Moms need more things to try and keep up with…now the classroom has added another element that can truly be difficult to navigate.

In hopes of respecting the food allergy community as well as the majority, I have compiled a list of ideas for Valentine’s Day that will hopefully make classroom treats and parties much easier on you. The following is a list of approved goodies that exclude the Top 8 food allergies! Those include milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts (almonds, cashews, walnuts etc), fish, shellfish, soy and wheat.

So if this is your classroom policy then this is your list for PERFECT Allergen-Friendly Valentines:

Okay, starting with “Not food.” This is my favorite! I mean do we really want our kids having 12+ goodie bags full of candy? NOT I Hit up your local Dollar Tree or even the Target Dollar Spot for some great ideas! If you don’t have time to make an extra shopping trip I found some super fun things on Amazon.

These are all great ideas! I love that you put effort into including all the kiddos with food allergies!

I love these ideas! My brother has a nut allergy and always missed out on stuff like Valentine’s Day because SO much of it was contaminated. Thank you for bringing awareness for little ones who would otherwise feel excluded.
